Southern Grind 10" GrandDaddy Machete

This knife has a full tang and is made of reclaimed carbon metal. Southern Grind knives are differentially heat treated. It is a bowie style knife with an overall length of 16-7/8". The blade itself is 10" and has a 5-3/4" black micarta handle with the Southern Grind logo laser etched on the micarta. The handle is attached with 3 special design stainless steel screws. Our uniquely designed sheath is made from Kydex and is put together with nickel eyelets. It has the same Southern Grind logo laser etched randomly on the front of the sheath, and the inside is etched with information about our company and our website address. There is a belt clip on the sheath as well as an adjustable webbed strap for the leg. Our knife is packaged in our own custom designed box.

The manufacturing of the knife is all done in-house at our Southern Grind shop located in Atlanta, Georgia.

Blade Metal Composition -DIN 2003 Blade Length -10" Blade Gauge -.100 Blade Detail -Unaltered 100% Recycled DIN 2003 Saw Blade -Custom differential heat treatment process applied to 3/8th s of the cutting edge which allows for two separate Rockwell Hardnesses from the handle out. The Blade begins with the first 7.5" at 60 Rockwell which promises an extreme chopping edge while the 55 Rockwell finishes the remaining 2.5" with tip durability expected from a blade with the name GranDaddy.
