This is a very good purchase. It is so light in hand, very nimble. For a shortish length and thin blade, it packs a wallop. Slices very well through all sorts of vegetation. I will say, don’t put too thin of an edge on it if you plan on chopping tough woody stuff, it’ll chip out a little. But not more than any other brand Ive used, and I’ve used a lot. The steel is actually very good, easy to sharpen, and stays sharp. Better than Gavilan. If you want a lighter machete for clearing trails, etc., buy this. Good point works out for bushcrafty stuff too.

Wonderful steel but comes basically dull and handle sucks. Takes real effort to sharpen but rewards the effort with unreal cutting and amazing edge. Athletic tape for handle. One of my favorite machetes does everything from big game hunting to clearing trees.
