The burriquito machete is a very stout, wide machete good for cleaving and hewing. Lacking a long reach, this is really a chopping implement with one of the widest blades available.

Imacasa is based in Santa Ana, El Salvador, but produces machetes for almost all of the Americas. Imacasa machetes and cutting tools are designed to excel in industries such as agricultural, construction and gardening.

Imacasa is the sister company of Condor Machetes, whose reputation of producing quality machetes has been established for over two centuries.

Like Condor, Imacasa produces excellent quality machetes and has a marketing policy directed toward customer satisfaction in each region. With their willingness to adapt to local styles and quality manufacturing, Imacasa machetes have received great acceptance and a big demand in many markets.

Beautiful. I know that this is a “premature” review, because i just received it in the email, but i sharpened this thing up and it is wonderful. I wanted a semi-kukri style and a close range so there is no “roll” off. For this, i sharpened the “backside”, so that the vegetation is hooked inside. This edge can stay razor sharp. Great weight. Is a great chopper and axe-like for the “front-side”. I am leaving the tip of the rounded front-side semi-blunt so as to use for a “hoe” effect if you are wanting to chop to the roots while you are chopping vegetation. And it is effective. Has weight. Able to work the ground. Also, the handle, when you use it “backwards”, actually has a great aesthetic, as you can cradle it at a 90 degree angle in your hand and it works perfect for your fingers in the groove. This way, you have one side razor sharp, with no roll-off factor, and you have a “ground-beater”, and you have an axe. Just flip it around. Beautiful. NOTE THAT THE WIDEST PART OF THIS MACHETE’S BLADE IS 5 INCES WIDE. This thing will have a long lifespan. Great for agriculture and is multi-functional. I used to live in Mexico for years and i was planting corn and cleaning it and i spent a lot of time imagining an ideal multi-functional machete form. Whether or not they intended for the back-end to be used, it works perfect and i found that machete. Brilliant. Keep it in stock.

When it comes to chopping this panga excels it’s a little heavier than the average Latin style machete but not too heavy it’s perfect for winter months in the south when we need to chop limbs and medium size branches for fire wood. The plastic handle holds up good because I’ve been beating on mine for the last eight months and no problems.Imacasa has a great selection of machete’s hear in the U.S.
