The “pata de cuche” machete represents, in many ways, the prototypical machete shape. Fairly evenly weighted along the entire blade, it is easily slipped in a sheath for portability.

Perfect blade length for a trail type, camping, hiking machete. Grip feels good to XXL hands…could be sanded down. With Latin blade profile this length gives you the bulge and right when it starts thinning down it turns into handle so you get the sweet spot. The blade is super thin and this baby is light. I paired it up with the Marbles 16-18 sheath and this machete sits in that sheath halfway up handle snuggly and is a fantastic camping, boat, trail sheath with pockets for gear and first aid components. Turned out great and I may order more for presents. Get this blade and the Marbles 16-18 sheath, put a multitool, fire making and first aid in the pouches and you have the camper/trailblazing combo. You will thank me for doing the research and Machete Specialists for the deal as well as fast, accurate, well informed shipping.
